Point Horror books were *the* books to read when I was at high school.  I used to watch in horror as girls punched each other to get at the latest Point Horror first.  It was worse than a Next clearance sale!  Of course I nearly joined in with the fighting - I read these books too.  I still do as part of my pre-Halloween ritual…although some of them were utterly dire, they remain compelling snapshots of a time when trashy horror books the YA market.  They taught me so much about life.  They taught me that everyone was jealous of me because I was the best cheerleader and…oh wait, that isn’t true. I was never a cheerleader!
